2023 Predictions

Anyone care to make predictions for 2023? I do this every year and have gotten it right once in the last 15 years that I can remember, mostly because I always pick the Packers or my friends' team the Steelers instead of just going chalk with Patriots or Chiefs. Here's what I've got for this year: 20...

Re: Obscure trivia

They were called Divisions prior to 1949. Unless I am missing something I do not see a real change after the change of the name so it seems more a matter of semantics to me. Well, for the sake of the question, what I was referring to was divisions since 1967. So, the correct answer is not four like...

Re: Obscure trivia

Colts and Bears were both in the NFL's western division from something like 1954-69; Steelers and Cowboys were both in the eastern division from 1960-69. No, those were conferences, not divisions. The first true divisions came in 1967 with the introduction of the Capital, Century, Central, and Coas...

When were the Colts and Bears, and Steelers and Cowboys, in the same division?

Re: Obscure trivia

What four Super Bowls had matchups between two teams that were once in the same division together (before or after)?

Re: "Virtual" chapter of the PFRA

Sounds cool. I'm very interested. It's very hard to wait 24 months to see everyone, so it would be cool to catch up with fellow members in the winter. Count me in.

Re: Latest lead taken and blown

Another factor in that Colts Lions game is that the clock would have started after the ball was set following the kickoff return. Art Donovan stated that he was kicked out of the game for retaliating for something Gil Mains did on the kickoff. Thus the clock stopped. Now no penalty yardage was mark...

Re: The Washington Football Team

That stadium is a dump. We went there a few years back for a Packers game. It was horrible. (As an aside, I learned all the words to their fight song because the Packers kept allowing points.) All I really care about is them getting rid of the "Commanders" nickname and using some sort of &...
