The Rams outgained the Colts 433 to 282. That yardage, however, could not stand up against five interceptions from the Colts. The Rams actually lead 26 to 24 after three periods. In the fourth, Baltimore scored three touchdowns. John Unitas capped a drive with a nine yard pass to Jerry Richardson; Dick Szymanski returned an interception 15 yards; and Carl Tasseff returned a missed field goal for 99 yards.

Prior to that for the Colts, Mike Sommers ran 53 yards for a touchdown. Raymond Berry caught touchdowns of seven and 11 yards. Steve Myra kicked a 47 yard field goal. Los Angeles-Lou Michaels kicked field goals of 25, 19, 40 and 27 yards. Joe Marconi ran for a one yard touchdown and John Arnett made an exciting run for 27 yards.

John Unitas completed 13 of 27 passes for 110 yards and three touchdowns. Lenny Moore, Jim Mutscheller, and Raymond Berry each caught three passes for a total of 80 yards. Bill Wade went 15 for 25 for 247 yards and three interceptions. In relief Frank Ryan went two for 11 for 35 yards and threw two interceptions.

The five interceptions were one each for Marv Matuzak, Bill Pellington, Johnny Sample, Don Shinnick, and as mentioned Dick Szymanski

The Colts won the Western Conference at 9-3 while the Rams finished in last place at 2-10.
