Woodley Lewis-Versatile with Cardinals

A group us of were talking about the old Chicago Cardinals where the team in this city started.  We mentioned previously Ollie Matson.  Another versatile  player deserves attention.  Woodley Lewis had his best years with the NFL's  signature team-the Los Angeles Rams.  The Rams traded Lewis to the Cardinals and he with  the team for their last three seasons in Chicago, 1957 to 1959.  In these years, Woodley Lewis has the following credentials:

--caught 101 passes for 1,648 yards and 12 touchdowns; returned 31 punts for 209 yards;
--returned 29 kickoffs for 750 yards;
--played defense intercepting three passes.

Despite playing only three years with the Cardinals, Woodley Lewis was one of the their most all purpose players.
