Impact on NFL/players with a spring college season

Some pundits have been arguing that the NCAA Football Championship Series (FCS) Division I college teams should permanently move their schedules to the spring. There are arguments for and against why those colleges should consider the move, but how would that shift impact the NFL? Would it help the NFL to be able to observe FCS teams more closely in a separate season? How would they handle acquiring those players? Wait until the next year's draft, or largely through free agency with the idea the seniors would transition almost directly from the FCS season to pro spring training? What other considerations would there be for the NFL?

Besides warmer weather, what is the benefit of moving college games to the spring? It doesn't make sense to go up against March Madness, the beginning of baseball season and the NHL. College players playing a spring schedule who are drafted will be more prone to injuries since their bodies will have practically no time to heal.

They aren't going to try to move it to the spring. THe only time moving it to the spring was ever brought up was in trying to figure out how to deal with the pandemic.

No, I said pundits, not the NCAA, brought it up, and yes, they did bring it up. For example:

That's fine. I don't really bother much though with what a lot of those people come up with as a lot of them are just trying to find things to talk about because they need to get an article out.
