What are some good examples of NFL teams that have been "unbalanced", i.e.:

They had a powerful offense which was nullified by a terrible defense,

or,

They had a great defense which was sabotaged by a hapless offense?

A few based on scoring only. 1965 49ers, first team to score AND allow at least 400 points. 1960 AFL Titans (Jets), scored the most points (382) and allowed the most (399). 1946 Steelers, scored the fewest (136) and allowed the fewest (117).

1977 Falcons were not a playoff team, but if they had even a halfway decent offense they would have challenged Rams for division title.

Maybe going 9-5 or 10-4

That's the first team that popped into my mind.

2011 Packers. Top scoring offense, MVP at quarterback. Dead-last ranked defense.
