1913 Official Rule Book

Post by luckyshow »

This may be an off-the wall query and is not pro football related.

Does anyone have the 1913 football Official Rule book?

I am looking for specific scores that I believe are listed within.

1913 Sterling HS 134-0 Brush HS
1913 Louisville HS 149-0 Union
1913 Louisville HS 100-0 Shelbyville

I think the 149 point game is listed as Male High School in Louisville.

I am specifically interested in the Shelbyville game, but mostly as to which state the Sterling High v Brush High game was in. I am guessing Colorado, but I am not sure why....

Thanks

The 149-0 game was Nov. 1, 1913. Louisville Male beat Tharp (Tharp University School) according to the Louisville Courier-Journal. On October 25, Male beat Shelbyville 76-0. I thought maybe it was Louisville Manual beating Shelbyville 100-0, but I couldn't find anything.

Also, each state's high school athletic association probably publishes an all-time record book online for each sport. For instance, here's Kentucky's, which includes all the 100+ point games:
