Not a player, but I thought I'd mention comedian/actor Martin Mull, who died June 27 at 80.
A Cleveland native and avid Browns fan, Mull's hobby was placekicking. Twice a week he would take a bag of balls to a nearby field to practice. After getting some pointers from Matt Bahr, Mull -- kicking straight on, not soccer style -- once made three in a row from 40 yards before a Browns exhibition game.
