Everflub is gone already. Not sure I've ever seen a coach so blatantly fired for a specific incident, but that ending was a crime against football. The Bears chew through promising coaches like bubble gum, and they're all out of bubble gum. They need to stop with the first-time HCs and write a blank check for Mike Vrabel yesterday.

Mike Vrabel?
The guy who presided over an all time collapse 2 years ago?

Yep, I sure miss the days when QBs took snaps directly from center ... another crappy shotgun snap costs the Raiders the game tonight. The Chiefs still winning on Swift hoodoo ... haha

Green Bay is certainly better in the regular season than the playoffs in general, and of Schottenheimer’s teams, I’d say that’s most true of the Chiefs from what I know of his teams.CSKreager wrote: ↑Fri Nov 29, 2024 2:41 pmLaFleur is a coach who looks great in the regular season but shrinks in the postseasonSeahawkFever wrote: ↑Fri Nov 29, 2024 12:35 pmDoes Matt LeFleur run too much for your liking? Can’t help but ask if you are comparing him to Schottenheimer (who was also criticized for that from what I can tell).CSKreager wrote: ↑Fri Nov 29, 2024 4:56 am
GB is a soft team. Sure they have some decent talent but IMO this team lacks heart and toughness
They are the most overrated team in football from their HC (the Marty Schottenheimer of GB) to their overpaid QB
Take out the 2010 fluke run, three decades of choking when it matters
GB gets tight in January every year
As for how overrated those teams are, I’d say they are most often overrated if you take their records at face value, but if they played well in the regular season they must be at least solid enough.

Vrabel would be excellent for Chicago ... in defense of him two seasons ago, the Titans offensive line dealt with injuries and poor play, while losing Tannehill for extended time. Since then, the the line and team has gotten worse but if he were to go to the Bears, Jaguars, Saints or Giants, he will fix the offensive lines first, I believe.
We cant discount him for the Jets or Cowboys jobs, either. He could help them, despite their dysfunction.

Schottenheimer had an aging Montana for two seasons. He never had a talent afterward similar to Rodgers. Love has talent as well but I would take Marty over Lafleur as a HC. With their young weapons though, they could be a sleeper again in postseason. With the Vikings defense slipping and Detroit going through injuries, the Pack could still win the division ... Will get exciting by wk 14 ...

Cardinals let the Vikes off the hook. I never believed Darnold would ever help a team win ten games and he deserves credit.
Steelers get breathing room with the win and Ravens loss. I have always respected Tucker but he is going through what Vinatieri did when he got older--lose some accuracy--will he get back to his HOF level or just having some timing issues with snapper and holder? Great way for Buffalo to win their division in a winter wonderland ...
Bad game for Cousins who needs to get back on track with the Bucs hanging around. Will Rodgers be back for the Jets next year?
Hard to believe his last winning season as a starter was 2021.
Lawrence took a vicious shot that used to be normal NFL football. Lets hope the linebacker for the Texans doesnt go to jail. Lawrence may decide to have that non-throwing surgery after all?
I dont think Barkley will be stopped for his quest for 2000 yards rushing unless he gets hurt. A great season and AJ Brown has quietly played great for the Eagles as well. I dont see why Fangio as an assistant cant be COTY?

What is going on with Tucker has to be mental. He's only 35. There's no shot they cut him, nor should they, he's earned way too much trust as the best kicker to ever do it. The best thing they could do right now is give him an "injury" and IR him, let him rest up and he'll probably be fine next year. He clearly needs to work through something, there's no reason for him to be declining except getting in his own head, so investing in getting him right without letting him knock them out of the playoffs this year is the move. If he's truly washed, it's the Rick Ankiel type of washed, not Vinatieri, and we'll need another year of data to see.

Their defense is a joke, they haven't beaten anybody worth a damn and Jordan Love is basically 2019 Jameis with better PRBrian wolf wrote: ↑Sat Nov 30, 2024 3:06 pm Schottenheimer had an aging Montana for two seasons. 2019 Jameis had a 0.5% differential from TD% to INT%.CSKreager wrote: ↑Mon Dec 02, 2024 2:20 amTheir defense is a joke, they haven't beaten anybody worth a damn and Jordan Love is basically 2019 Jameis with better PRBrian wolf wrote: ↑Sat Nov 30, 2024 3:06 pm Schottenheimer had an aging Montana for two seasons. 2024 Love has a 2.9% differential in favor TDs.
C’mon man.
