Which gave me this...
Sunday Nov 9, 1969
Oilers 31, Bengals 31
Don Trull, Jim Beirne (who?!), Bob Trumpy. The Bengals won the first AFC Central championship with an 8-6 record the next year.
Jim Beirne was Bob Griese's favorite receiver at Purdue.

The two coaches meeting in this game had previously met in a Super Bowl.

A rookie for the winning team scored the first of many touchdowns in his career.

The player who scored the only TD for the losing team would later play for the winning team.

A former rookie of the year scored two touchdowns for the winning team.

A player for the winning team registered both yards rushing and receiving. This would be his only offensive statline of the year.

The final score for this game was the only one of its kind in NFL history.

Opening week, 1976. Grant's Vikings winning at Stram's Saints. Galbreath would end up playing for Vikes, Chuck Foreman scored the two TDs, Kellar's 25 yds rushing and 22 receiving was his only statline of the season, the only 40-9 final score ever.

Grant was 3-0 vs Stram after SBIV. Vikings beat Chiefs in the ’70 opener and again, at KC, in the ’74 finale. The ’76 opener makes it three. By the time Grant’s Vikings played the Saints again two years later (also opening week), Dick Nolan was now head guy in NO (and Saints won).

-The visiting team won the game in OT.
-The player who scored the winning TD (in OT) had previously played with the home team and then came back to play with them after a stint with another team.
-The visiting team had another player who scored a TD in regulation who had scored a TD in a Super Bowl 5 years before.
-Both placekickers in this game are currently in the Top 10 All-Time in points scored.
-Both punters in this game also had long careers (over 200 games each) and came into the NFL in the same season.

Would that be AP league MVP?
