Ray Lewis, Terrell Owens, Randy Moss, Alan Faneca and Steve Hutchinson. Now, that wasn’t difficult. #HallofFame

If it’s both Owens and Moss, that’ll really help clear out the WR logjam. Didn’t see both in at once as likely. Bruce, Holt, and Ward have a little breathing room, though it might not help them in the short run.

Getting Dawkins in doesn’t hurt, either, especially with Ed Reed and Champ Bailey coming in next year. Not good enough news for Lynch or Atwater, though.

Big clog up on the o-line still.

Urlacher and Lewis both in, didn’t see that coming. Helps to get the former in now.

Too bad for Jacoby and Walls, though am lukewarm on the former and no-go on the latter.

Happy for Kramer if he’s in. Long time coming.

Every year is funny. There's some writers who send stuff out like that knowing the attention it'll get. There's other media who go a step further and say they have sources then are wrong (think Bill Simmons was wrong last year?) and the rest are the writers/media -usually the ones who wish they had a vote- complaining about all this years mistakes before things even start to come out (numerous every year, think I saw Pete Prisco complain earlier today) ...

With the two last year eligibles not getting in and five others elected, that opens up seven slots for next year. That’ll also help clear things out a bit.

Oh, and congratulations to all who were elected!

Different subject but gotta think Eagles v. Ravens in the HOF game. I always thought they were saving the Ravens for when Ray Lewis went in.

Urlacher was not a first ballot player to me. Especially when you had Lewis whose credentials are much better in the same class.

Depends on who he is up against. The fact that a great player at the same position was up should have no bearing on whether Urlacher was elected this year or not. If you want to say that Alan Faneca and Kevin Mawae were better players than Urlacher, and more deserving, then that's an argument.

A comparison of overall defense in some catetgories

Post by JohnTurney »

Not that overal defense is a major deal, but in light of the gaps between Lewis and Urlacher this shows it even more. Bears had several great Ds, Ravens just so many more

Great graphs. Remember that Lewis played at all Pro Level level in both a 4-3 and a 3-4.
