There is a sticky, tacky material on the gloves. I don't know if Beckham Jr., could have made the same catch without those gloves.
Former Raider receiver and Hall Of Famer Fred Biletnikoff said that if today's gloves had been available during his playing career, he never would have needed to use Stickum. At least not for his hands.

Supposedly, the gloves Beckham was wearing have a $100 price tag on them.

Too me it's the poor mans version of the Endy Chavez catch. The Beckham catch was unbelievable and will be remembered forever. But they still lost the game, and the season is a lost cause.

Joseph Randle has the same pair, except his still have the price tag on them. And the security tag....
