During the 1991 season the San Diego Chargers and Seattle Seahawks met in Week 9, both teams had a bye the next week, and then they met again in Week 11.

Cool games to watch, too!
Absolutely, Matt!

This was, I believe, the first times two teams went back to back in the regular season in the Super Bowl era.

Nowadays it's difficult to have the same two teasm playing in the last season of the reguilar season, and then in the Wild Card playoff game, but when they were 5 teams per conference in the playoffs I believe it happened.

1988: Browns and Oilers met in the regular season finale, with the Browns coming back to win and make the playoffs. Six days later, the Browns again hosted the OIlers, but Houston won, 24-23.

Another one that's regular season finale/playoffs. Jets beat Cincinnati 37-0 to clinch a Wild Card during the 09 season. 6 days later they beat them in Cincinnati 24-14.

The Bills lost to the Oilers the final week of the 1992 regular season 27-3. The next week in the Wild Card round of the playoffs the Bills beat the Oilers 41-38 in OT in what turned out to be a ho-hum unmemorable affair. ;)

The Bills and Jets actually did in 1963 ... final two games of the season. But I believe that was because of the games being rescheduled in the wake of the JFK assassination.
Pretty sure all the games went on as scheduled.

In 1993, the Broncos and Raiders had already nailed down the four and five seeds in the AFC and were tied with 9-6 records going into a Week 18 match against one another in LA where the only thing that was at stake was whoever won the game would host the loser in the Wild Card game the following weekend. The Broncos led most of the game, 20-7 and 27-10 in the second quarter, and getting it to 30-13 in the third quarter before the Raiders came back, tying the game at 30-30 at the end of regulation and winning 33-30 in OT. (I do not know who would have won the tiebreaker had the game remained tied at 30-30 at the end of OT.) The Raiders hosted the Wild Card game the following weekend, and the game was tied 21-21 at halftime, with both John Elway and Jeff Hostetler throwing three first half TD's. In the second half, Napoleon McCallum took control of the game, rushing to three touchdowns to put the Broncos away, 42-24, in what was surely McCallum's signature performance.

The AFL rescheduled some of the postponed games and kept others in place instead of just moving the entire 11/24 schedule to 12/22. Below was the original 11/24 schedule:

Houston @ San Diego
Buffalo @ Boston
KC at NY Jets
Oakland at Denver

Interestingly, the Bills and Jets were originally scheduled to play two weeks in a row--on 12/1 and 12/8. Here's the original 63 schedule:
