Jerry Kramer - WHY so long??

HoF voters are only human; they don't like being told what to do.

That just makes the voters sound like petulant children. As I said in my previous post, no player on the 50th anniversary team should have had to wait any length of time to be inducted.

From a Dr. Z column from 2003 or so.
"Kramer was dinged by selectors, and I still don't know why ... too much publicity after his book, Instant Replay, I guess, although that shouldn't be a factor."

It should be noted that Kramer was a Senior candidate in 1996 or 1997 and was actually rejected by the main body of voters. I can't imagine his 30 year old book had that much to do with it.
