Good stuff, guys.

Just curious if either of you have a background in coaching that would have given you the expertise necessary to accurately grade these players.

Or, put another way, do you think NFL coaches would agree with your assessments, or the people at PFF, for that matter?

You put 10 scouts in a room to look at film, you will get 10 different opinions. These reports are just the opinion of Reaser and myself.

I will let Reaser chime in on his background, if he chooses.

I have had training in scouting from a long-time NFL scout (last position was Director of Pro Personnel in the NFL), as well as from a HOF NFL general manager. I have also talked with other general managers, coaches and players. I will leave it up to the readers to decide if that is "qualified to make an opinion."

Playing: 10 years as QB (7 at various DEF pos./mostly CB/S), only good enough to get recruited by DIII and JUCO schools, went JUCO route, only ended up practicing college football (3rd string and transferring will do that.)

Plus 100 or so passing league (7on7) games, numerous football camps, QB camps, etc ...

Coaching: Years ago was a camp QB coach at football camps for Jr. High and Youth QB's.

Thanks guys. That's some heady stuff. I'm already amazed at the expertise at this site.

I have NEVER seen the major love for Kuechenberg being a HOFer. How many times has he been a finalist, six times? I do not get it.

How is he more qualified than Ken Gray, for example? Kent Hill has arguably as good a case. Dennis Harrah is another. Walt Sweeney (excluding his personal issues), Ed Budde, etc., Duane Putnam, John Niland are just as qualified (at least belong in the discussion) as BK. In fact, his college teammate, George Kunz, although at a different position, is WAY more qualified for the HOF than BK.

As for Kramer, yes, he should have already been in ions ago, IMO.
