More inane trivia!

Post by Bryan »

This college institution produced two starting NFL QBs. One of the QBs made his NFL debut 5 years after being drafted, the other QB made his NFL debut 6 years after being drafted. Name the institution.

Off the top of my head: Indiana with Babe Laufenberg and Trent Green?

Wow, this was a great guess. Unless you count Frank Filchock, those two are the only Indiana QBs of note, and both had delayed NFL debuts (Laufenberg by 3 years, Green by 4 years)...but its not the correct answer.

Thought it might be Notre Dame, with Joe Theismann playing in Canada for the first three years of his career and another two as a backup in Washington, but cannot find a second QB that fits your question.

By "debut" you mean his first start, or his first appearance on an NFL field?

Both QBs started at least one game their rookie year.

On the plain meaning of your question, I don't think any such college exists. Well, PFR doesn't think any such college exists....

Unless by "drafted" you mean drafted into the armed forces, I don't think any QBs fit the description.

Both QBs started at least one game their rookie year.
This statement has to mean they did not get actually rostered by an NFL team until 5 and 6 years after their draft year. So it has to be either an armed forces situation or they spent time in another league like the CFL or USFL. The USFL didn't last that long to create that big of a gap of time.

Still stumped.
