On November 25 the CFL's Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced that former player and general manager Joe Zuger had passed away. He was 84. On October 15, 1962 Zuger made his professional debut at quarterback by throwing for a CFL record 8 TD passes in a 67-21 win over the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Voted MVP of the 1967 Grey Cup, Zuger was a triple threat at quarterback, defensive back and punter. In 2006 Zuger was named to The Sports Network's Honour Roll as one of the 185 greatest players from the CFL's post-WWII era.

Tunney is still my all-time favorite referee. He also was active until recently on Facebook and was very kind answering questions about his three decades in the NFL.
