You bet. I think we're going to see a lot of backlash against this system this year and they'll change it back in 1-2 years. There will be an uproar when people see a modern class of three or four, considering the people they'll leave out will be no-doubt PFHOFers who they're just going to elect down the road. If it's Gates, J. Allen, Kuechly and Holt but they leave out Wayne, Woodson, Suggs, Earl Thomas, Yanda, etc., whoever, it will be evident that they made smaller class sizes at the expense of players who they're just going to elect anyway, which ultimately pushes more players into senior, etc. etc.
Math time: how the new voting could lead to a 4-man class

This voting system will indeed get interesting for upcoming QBs especially ... not only Eli but Rivers, Brees and Big Ben. I think only Brees will be elected first ballot. Could any of the others get voted in before Brady?

I think Eli *could* get elected this year, but I don't think he will. If he doesn't, I think Brees and Brady will go in first ballot and they'll sort out everyone else starting in 2029.Brian wolf wrote: ↑Sun Nov 03, 2024 12:56 pm This voting system will indeed get interesting for upcoming QBs especially ... not only Eli but Rivers, Brees and Big Ben.
