Packers fatigue

Post by PFHOFlover »

I think I know why Lavvie Dilweg Verne Lewellen and Cecil Isbell weren’t elected the first years of the Hall of Fame it’s likely voters were suffering from Packers fatigue

Robert, I get a feeling former Packer Sharpe gets in this year. The older players will keep waiting.

If it's sterling sharpe's time to get into the hall I'd be happy and satisfied

early HOF were pretty much Packers, though other(s) maybe had a year

Curly Lambeau, Johnny McNally, Don Hutson, Clarke Hinkle, Link Lyman, Mike Michalske, Arnie Herber

With Lewellen on preliminary list '63-70, Dilweg every year except '67 and '68.
Cub Buck '63-65, Canadeo usually there, finally got in Class of '74, Bobby Dillon '64-65, Earpe 63-70

so, not only perhaps Packers fatigue, also a lot of guys getting nominated ... so no one getting enough
to get to finals ... or however they did it pre-1969 -- though some form of a narrowed list in 1967

This comment was very underrated. It deserves more respect.

Only guessing, but yes, I think he will be one of the three.

Depends on if they go all three on the offensive side or do say they go 2 Offense and 1 defense or what they did this past election which was 2 defensive players and 1 offensive

One other thing to consider is does the committee advance a player or two from out of nowhere to the final 12 I have an idea on the players I won't say who they are just yet
