The 0-2 Steelers defeated the Philadelphia Eagles 24 to 3 at Pitt Stadium. Tom Tracy gained 88 yards and scored two touchdowns. The Steelers recovered four fumbles. Jack Butler, Dale Dodrill, and Gary Glick each had an interception for 46 yards in returns. After this victory Pittsburgh lost two games on the road to two of the NFL's best teams. Cleveland 27 to 10 and New York17 to 6.
