Bryan, thanks for the distillation.

Surprised that Borges picked Jim Ringo as best center over folks like Jim Otto, Chuck Bednarik, and Mike Webster. Gosselin's choice of Dwight Stephenson seems more defensible if you're okay with his short career. Can't really fault any of the other choices, though am guessing Larry Allen was close.

Voting last time saw Boselli and Mawae reach the final 10 with Faneca a first cut. Wonder if that was an aberration given that two of them picked Faneca as a favorite. Also interesting that Joe Jacoby is on none of their radar screens in his last eligible year -- he may indeed not make it.

Tough question. Two ways to look at this:

-you're either worthy and in or not and out, and that's all that matters. Here, they're all worthy to me, discussion ends.

-real ranking? Maybe Faneca (excelled long time, medium difficulty of position), Boselli (toughest position, high peak but dinged for short career), Mawae (center may be the "easiest" of these positions, excelled long time). But I think one could justify any ordering based on what you value. I certainly won't go to the mat over the Faneca/Boselli/Mawae ordering.

Talk of Bobby Beathard, Robert Brazile and Jerry Kramer.

And in the final minutes, the topic switches to who is in the cue for Contributor and Senior candidates for next year, should these three all go in ... dum, dum, DUM ....

http://www.talkoffamenetwork.com/podcas ... fame-year/ Here is the analysis on the Senior’s and Contributor from 3 Hall of Fame Voters. Gosselin states that Pearson, Karras, and Robinson are 3 people to watch out for in future years. Borges says Duke Slater

I heartily endorse these options. Beats folks like Marshall Goldberg any day.
