Can anyone identify this touchdown?
In the NFL films show "Glory Year" about Sammy Baugh's great season of 1943 they show a clip from a game in which Baugh passes for a TD of about 25 yards or so in the snow to a #28 whom I assume is Bones Taylor. I've been interested in identifying that TD. I know it snowed in 1949 at NYG. Taylor caught a 38 yard TD pass in that game but I've seen that HL and it isn't the same TD and the Redskins didn't score any more TDs in that game. It is possible that the TD was scored in that game but called back but the newspaper articles on the game that I've read do not mention it. In reviewing the games of that period I am sort of leaning toward 1948 at the Giants being the game it was in but the articles I've read do not mention snow on the ground nor have I seen any HL from that game. I haven't been able to identify any stronger contenders. I know it is a long shot that anyone would know what game that HL was in but if anyone does I would be interested in knowing.
