Leo Lyons

Post by JeffreyMiller »

Sure, he is better known as the owner of the Rochester Jeffersons, a founding father of the National Football League, and the league's first historian, but if those functions don't qualify Lyons for the HOVG, he was at one time a player for the team and also coached for a time.

I'd vote for him. However I was told once when I tried to nominate Ralph Hay (by I can't remember who) that players and coaches are only considered for the HOVG. No contributors.

Dan Rooney once said to me that he thinks Leo should be in the HOF.
