Gridiron Legacy by Gregg Ficery

Post by TanksAndSpartans »

I'm really enjoying this one. Very comprehensive.

Here is the link: https://www.gridironlegacy.com.

The author was on the PFRA podcast recently. The link includes lots of good info beyond just a way to order the book. Ficery is the grandson of Bob Shiring who starred for the Ohio League's Massillon Tigers among other teams.

This may be the most comprehensive book on early professional football that I have ever read. It is a beautiful book to look at, I got lost many times with all of the eye-candy images included. Within its pages, the overall story of Gregg's Great Grandfather, Bob Shiring and Blondy Wallace, set against the backdrop of football rivalry, is fantastic. Gregg Ficery has been on many interviews to share the promotion of this must-have pigskin writing. Here are a few to sample the story, and you will not be disappointed in the purchase of Gridiron Legacy. https://pigskindispatch.com/0y1u and the Official PFRA Podcast episode at: https://player.captivate.fm/episode/34b ... 94854bf94c
