PFRA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the history of professional football. Formed in 1979, PFRA members include many of the game's foremost historians and writers.
I've been reading "Fritz Pollard: Pioneer in Racial Advancement" by John Carroll and I just finished the chapter where Fritz Pollard played in the coal/anthracite league in 1923 and 1924. I found the league and the towns that participated fascinating. Are there any good books on this particular subject?
