Michael Jackson, a WR who played from 1991-1998 with the Cleveland Browns and Baltimore Ravens, died this morning in a traffic accident in Louisiana. He was 48 years old. Jackson played in college with Brett Favre at Southern Mississippi and co-led the NFL in receiving TDs in 1996, the Ravens' first season.

The Legacy.com website appears to have had a little makeover. A side effect appears to be that the Keyword search no longer functions normally. With the different searches that I try, a Keyword search only searches the First Name & Last Name fields and not the contents of an obituary, so for example, a Keyword search for NFL fails to find Yale Lary's obit.

Legacy.com have advised the following:-

Hello, We sincerely appreciate your feedback. Our apologies for any inconvenience you may have experienced with the new search view. Please be assured we are recording your comments, and they will be very helpful as we continue to upgrade the site. Regarding the “search by keyword” feature: we understand this is a popular way to search the obituaries, and will be including it in a future version of our site. In the meantime, you can continue to search by keyword using the link below: http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/legacy ... earch.aspx … Thanks again for taking the time to send us your thoughts. If there is anything else we can help you find at the moment, please let us know.

The link provided appears to provide the same functional search as before.

Unfortunately, that's a picture of Fred Carr on the page. I left a comment for them to correct that.

That photo's been used at numerous other websites, so I'm afraid the damage is done. (P.S. The page linked about does now have a photo of Williams; I see his wife noticed the mistake, too.)

Did Carr ever wear #83, or did some clever graphic designer change the 5 on his jersey to an 8?

I posted a comment noting the error and request for an accurate photo (with links to accurate photos, cited) at http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/20 ... ies-at-70/.

It was there for less than an hour before someone (moderator?) deleted it ... the incorrect photo remains (as of now).

And that's why pft is so respected :(
I think the photo is from Carr's rookie training camp when the Pack was thinking of using Fred at end.
