A very exciting game in 2012 today breaking an eight game losing streak. Nick Foles completed a two yard touchdown pass to Jeremy on the final play to win. Comparable streaks; losing the first 11 games in 1968 and the first seven games in 1970.
There were some mistakes for Philadelphia that turned out to be good:
--Nick Foles underthrew Riley Cooper on the two point attempt following the touchdown that made the score 21 to 16. With those two points, the Eagles would probably have settled for a field goal at the end sending the game into overtime.
--There were two long pass routes on the final drive where Foles overthrew open receivers. Connecting for a touchdown and the Eagles would have been kicking off to the Bucs.
Early on one play that was a potential killer was DeMaris Johnson's fumbled punt return at the Eagles 13. That meant a quick touchdown and a 10 to 7 score. The momentum changed after that. Still it was a real exciting win.
