Eagles Shift Gears 2018 & 2019

Post by LeonardRachiele »

2018-After losing to the Saints 48 to 7, the Eagles limped into Lincoln Financial Field with a 4-6 record. The Giants were leading 19 to 11 late in the first half. On the Eagle 40, Eli Manning threw deep to the goal line. Malcom Jenkins made a great interception and returned it to the 30. This broke any momentum New York might have had.

It was the key play of the entire season. The Eagles dominated the second half winning with a field goal on the last series of the game. Philadelphia 25 New York 22. Philadelphia, getting some injured players back and active won five of their last six games to finish 9-7. In the Wild Card game they defeated the 13-3 Chicago Bears 16 to 15. It must be very frustrating to lose to a team that was four games behind you

2019-once again at home to the Giants. The Eagles were 5-7 to 2-10 for the Giants. Down 17 to 3 at the half, Philadelphia played an almost flawless second half. The Giants got the second half kick off but could not move the ball. The only snag was Jake Elliot missing a 45 yard field goal early in the fourth quarter. This came after the Eagles had narrowed the score to 17 to 10. All of us remember tying the game and winning in Overtime on a touchdown pass to Zach Ertz.
