The NFL has been playing on artificial turf for over 50 years and this is biggest push to remove it that I can remember. I know that the surfaces are better today than they were in the 1970s, but they still are problematic. I don't know how the NFL can talk about player safety while continuing to play on turf and adding an extra game to the regular season.

Notre Dame playing on an antiseptic rug is gross and sacrilegious.
