NFL Hungriest Men of the 90's

Post by Bryan »

Rewatching this NFL Films piece. Kind of funny how many guys had big years in 1988 or 1989, and then completely flamed out in the 90's. Bobby Humphrey got a segment in the RB section, and Thurman Thomas got second-billing behind Dalton Hilliard and John L. Williams. Christian Okoye was the literal next big thing.

David Fulcher featured prominently in the defenders section. Most of the pass rushers continued to do well into the 90's, but a big guy in 1989 was Tim Harris of the Packers. Jerry Glanville was being lauded as a potential coach of the 90's...ick.

The best section was the QB section. Even guys like Bernie Kosar and Randall Cunningham never really attained their potential in the 90's, Jim Everett's best years were 88 & 89, then you had a ton of guys that just disappeared: Don Majikowski, Bubby Brister, Chris Miller. An interesting slice of life from the late 80's.
