Really good call on the Oilers. Especially with adding Kearse with the Titans. He was a beast.

Wanted to add the Eagles into the conversation. In the 40s they had THE line, Al Wistert, Bucko Kilroy, Vic Sears, Walt Barnes. Later players were Marion Campbell, Carl Hariston, Clyde Simmons, Claude Humphrey for a stint, and of course the greatest of all-time, Reggie White.

Of course, Reggie played for the Packers, too. They had Willie Davis, Henry Jordan. Gilbert Brown was good. KGB was good. Ron Kostelnik. Ryan Pickett was solid. They might have the best top 3 with Wille Davis, Reggie White, and Henry Jordan. Can you imagine Willie Davis and Reggie White in the same lineup?

For all the talk of the "Steel Curtain" I rate the all-time Philadelphia "Iggles" D-line higher than that of the all-time greatest "Stillers" one. The only real standouts I know of on the "Stillers" all-time D-line are "Mean" Joe Greene, L.C. Greenwood, and Ernie Stautner.

If you count Haley and Ware playing a lot of DE for the Cowboys and their overall success, they are top three but in terms of HOVG/HOF players, its the Vikings slightly over the Rams ...

Other defensive linemen "engage" with offensive linemen. He just "ghosts" his way past them. It's absolutely remarkable how he's able to do that against other big, strong men who are being paid big bucks to keep guys like him from doing that.

Donald is a great player but Page and Randle were the best pass rushing tackles I have ever seen. Lilly, Culp and Greene were the best I have seen against the run ...

This is actually something the Jets fare well in

Gerry Philbin
Verlon Biggs
John Elliot
Abdul Salaam
Joe Klecko
Mark Gastineau
Marty Lyons
Hugh Douglas
Shaun Ellis
John Abraham
Mo Wilkerson
Sheldon Richardson
Leonard Williams
Quinnen Williams

Not bad going back to 1960. Most of those guys were Pro Bowlers and All Pros for various stretches. And plenty of other very solid guys as well like Marvin Washington, Jeff Lageman, Dennis Byrd would've had a very nice career as well
