I never started in college, I threw for less than 200 yards in my college career, yet I was still drafted by the NFL.

After joining my 2nd team, I was the backup to a QB who started in the Super Bowl. When he got injured, I started for the next 7 games, going 1-6. Although my passing stats weren't the best, I was my team's third leading rusher with a nice 8.6 average. The next year, I was replaced by a HOF QB and sent to a different team.

When that team released me following my 4th NFL season, I thought my career was over...but then I started two of the three replacement games for my third NFL team to close out my career.

During my career, I played with 3 HOF WRs and 1 HOF TE.

Bruce Mathison.
Correct! I found it odd that he was a backup QB in Nebraska's I-Bone, yet the Chargers still drafted him. And he wound up on teams with HOF receivers.

Funnily enough, two years ago on this very forum, I asked a "Who am I?" question in which Mathison was the answer.

*Played for two NFL teams in 6 seasons
*Was a solid college football player, but did not earn any honors or awards. I was a late-round draft choice. I was one of 13 draft choices in my team's draft class to make my team's roster, and one of my fellow rookie teammates eventually made it to the HOF.
*I played for a HOF coach, and one of the assistants I played under is currently a head coach in the NFL.
*I was a fairly versatile RB/FB with over 1000 career rushing yards and over 650 career receiving yards.
*I played in two Super Bowls, and I scored TDs in 3 different postseason games.
*Two of the QBs I played with earned SB MVP honors.

I scored three postseason touchdowns during my career.
All three of my postseason touchdowns were scored in my team's home stadium.
Those three TDs were the only ones my team scored at home in the postseason during their entire tenure in that particular stadium.

My first thought was Steve Van Buren but he isn't correct.

At first I thought Ricky Bell in the Big Sombrero but he only scored two TDs against the Eagles in the 1979/80 playoffs and the Bucs played Detroit there in the playoffs in 97/98.

New question:

My first three seasons in the league, I had a compiled statline of 49 receptions, 518 yards and 8 TDs. My postseason totals were 0-0-0 as my team never made it to the playoffs.

My fourth season in the league, I compiled a statline of 0 receptions, 0 yards, 0 TDs. My postseason totals from that season were 6 receptions, 116 yards & 1 TD.
