This game was not on an over-the-air big TV network

It was the first time these teams played at this stadium

Each team scored only 1 touchdown and lost a fumble

One team's kicker made 5 field goals, two of them 50 yarders
hmmm..... p-f-r tells me this one is from before 1940, correct?

In this battle between two 3-2 teams who would both end up in the playoffs, the first 3 TDs scored were each 50+yard plays; the 2nd and 3rd of these TDs were scored by the same player.
Jets 26, Oilers 17 - 10/20/69

Don Maynard scored on two 50+ yard passes in the 2nd quarter.
Both teams made the playoffs from the AFL East but were beaten by the AFL West's Raiders and Chiefs. The Oilers probably had no business being in the playoffs at 6-6-2.

Each team prominently featured a former number one draft pick in their offense. This would be the only time these two faced off against each other (at least in the NFL).

The winning team finished last in their division, the losing team would go on to win their division.

The winning team had two touchdowns scored by tight ends. One was the very first of his career, the other just the second.

When I said over the air, I meant a major network with the TV package (i.e. CBS/FOX/NBC)

A soon to be championship team had as many sacks as turnovers

The winning team scored 16 points in unconventional fashion

The winning QB would lose his job despite his team scoring a ton of points

One of the winning team’s very best player did not play at all

As in, they won the championship this season or a few years down the road?
The winning QB would lose his job despite his team scoring a ton of points
He was benched or lost his job due to injury immediately after this game or eventually in the season in question?

- A player caught 2 TD passes in this game. 2 different players threw the TD passes. The player that caught the TDs had a jersey number 3 digits lower than one passer, and 24 digits lower than the other passer.

- The winning team would win the league championship this season.

- Both teams had identical W-L records after this game, with the losing team registering its first loss of the season.

- The final scoring event in this game was a safety by the winning team.

- In this game, the home teams' punter was injured (although he played as a holder) and the backup quarterback had to punt three times (the only punts of his long NFL career), one of the punts was blocked and returned for a TD by the visiting team.
- Both teams had a runningback who rushed for more than 100 yards ans scored 1 TD apiece.
- The home team had a chance to tie the game at the end and go to overtime, but their kicker missed a short field goal.
