Re: Which was worse, 1982 or 1987?
Depends what you mean by "damaging". In theory, less games lost is better so 1982 was worse. Even if you don't count the replacement games 1987 had more games and thus had more of a real season and also had a 'normal' post-season, compared to 1982. Side note: Always like the 'trivia' of t...

Re: Favorite season in NFL history?
- 1982 (yes, it was only 9 games, but there was an increased sense of urgency when the strike was over, and the playoff format probably won't ever been seen again).
- 1987 (I am in the minority here - the strike games were...intriguing).
- 1989.

Re: WLAF/NFLE game books
Rupert, I would have to do some inventorying, but pretty much, missing almost all from 1991-92, 1995-2001. I'm not sure if I could go back via archive.org and get any in that timeframe off nfleurope.com, but even if so, that would still miss any of the early years. But I do have a contact that may c...

WLAF/NFLE game books
Good day, everyone! Does anyone have WLAF/NFLE game books that weren't on NFLGSIS? Basically, 1991-92 and 1995-99-ish? Would love to correct a lot of things the league got wrong/missed, including a lot of missing alumni. More specifically in the short term, I would like to spend the next couple summ...

Re: Misspelled names on uniforms
Can't find a pic, but in the 1987 replacement season, Philadelphia Eagles QB/P/H/ST Guido Merkens' uniform showed Merkins in the opener on Oct. 4 vs. the Chicago Bears.

Re: AAF gamebooks
I saved every gamebook off AAFGSIS. They did correct some things from the originals for the first 7 weeks, but I doubt they do anything to correct Week 8 now. I was planning on re-statting every game and doing a participation guide. I copied all the transactions for the league from the start on 8/1/...

Re: "This Was the XFL" on ESPN's 30 on 30 tonight
Have been trying to contact everyone and anyone with WWE to try to track down left-behind XFL materials (game films, PR, programs, flip cards, etc.), but no one answers. Would be one thing if they said it doesn't exist, but stinks not getting an answer.

Re: New Coffin Corner Issue
I still do have all that 1986 USFL info. Between an old NFL memo and other research, I am 99.9 percent certain of what they rosters were when the league suspended. Of course, I could put my own spin on what would have happened in 1986, adding NFL vets cut and such. I think my juices might be flowing...
