Here is the NFC link, They went with Montana for the 49ers, which seems pretty spot on to me

Re: Pro Football Focus talk: Adding past icons to current te
got to Denver . . . the "Albeno Rhino"? Albino? Sure. and the "Tim Tyrer" in the next segment . .. then Willie "Lane" the middle linebacker off to a fun start. Also, the mishmash of Upshaw and Boomer Brown's thumb cast. Upshaw wore heavy pads...as did a lot of Raiders ...

Pro Football Focus talk: Adding past icons to current teams
Pro Football Focus podcast did an interesting activity where they added one current player for each franchise's history to use for the 2023 season. This was the AFC edition. I'll post the NFC one when it's broadcast the next day. Overall, I thought they did a decent job for the parameters they set. ...

Re: 2022/23 Wild Card Playoff Round
Bad second half for Geno Smith and the Seahawks. Will they sign him or let him test the open market next year? Big game offensively for the Niners. Watching Purdy reminds me of former Rams QB Marc Bulger, a talented pocket passer who replaced Kurt Warner but had injuries that shortened his career. ...

Re: '88 Forty Niners VS '10 Packers
Depends on what part of the 1988 49ers you'd be taking. The squad at the last 1/3 of the season was nearly unstoppable, and the offense as a unit was able to get back on track. I'm biased, but hell yes I'm taking Joe Montana and Bill Walsh over Aaron Rodgers and Mike McCarthy.

Courtney Hall of the HOVG???
Never made a Pro Bowl, but was considered a very good C for a while with the Chargers during the 90's. Retired after the '96 season at the age of 28 due to injury I think. I feel like if he had played for a more high profile team like Dallas or San Francisco during that time he'd have had more recog...

Re: What are the worst shutouts in NFL history?
One of the most embarrassing championship game losses was the Vikings against the Giants in the 2000/01 NFC Title game 41-0 ... The Vikings team acted like they didnt even want to show up, while making Giants QB Kerry Collins look like Joe Montana. It was such a one-sided game that the Giants team ...

Re: What are the worst shutouts in NFL history?
First off, Happy Holidays to you all! Second.. how about the LA Rams losing, 28-0, at home in the ’78 NFCC to that very team wearing their, then, blue ‘jinx’ jerseys?? Losing by a close score to the defending-Champs/perennial contender? Of course understandable. But losing to them, at home, in that...

Re: Why is Steve Wisniewski seemingly stonewalled for the HO
Steve Wisniewski . . . was 1st Team All-Pro twice, and 2nd Team All-Pro six times Agree with you, but IMO since the HOF uses more than the AP All-Pro teams another fair tally is he was First-team All-pro 5 times with one being consenses First-team All-Pro - 1990, 1991 (consensus), 1992, 1993, 1994 ...

Re: What are the worst shutouts in NFL history?
BTW it wasn't a blowout, but it was a shutout in the playoffs, and it was the conference champ game... The 1979 loss the Bucs had to the Rams on their home turf was a 9-0 L. I'm not sure which is worse, that the prospect of going to the Super Bowl was only 9 points away, and you manage 0, or would i...
