Re: PFRA Elections 2023 ... Floor is open for nominations

A few questions... - Can we nominate the incumbents? I don't think we have term limits if I remember correctly. Yes, of course! Incumbents can be nominated. Anyone nominated has to acknowledge acceptance. - Could someone post the duties/job description of each position? I've always been confused ab...

Re: "Virtual" chapter of the PFRA

At the PFRA Convention in Pittsburgh last month, the Board of Directors encouraged the members to consider forming regional or local chapters. Other Boards have done the same at other conventions. As of July, 2023, we have two regional chapters; in Buffalo, New York and in Philadelphia, Pa. To my kn...

Re: PFRA Elections 2023 ... Floor is open for nominations

I nominate George Bozeka for President. He is the incumbant.
In case the name of the member making the nomination is needed, I have put my name below.

Re: The Washington Football Team

On the TOFTWO website, some writer-panelists suggested the name, Pigskins to tie to their former name. Like Clark Judge believed, Senators would be no problem, with the connection to baseball as well. Its ironic that despite the great history, this franchise had so far, until the sale, been bookend...

Re: Champs you think still win-it-all w/out their starting Q

Bob Waterfield started the games for the Rams in 1951 but Norm Van Brocklin typically played in the second and fourth quarters. It is reasonable to think that the 1951 Rams COULD have won the title game had Waterfield been injured. Van Brocklin threw the TD pass that beat the Browns for the title in...

Sorry to learn he may have a health issue, but virtual talks usually work okay. He'll be an interesting part of the convention.

Re: Played in the AAFC and AFL

I like this question. What if we expand it a little and say players who played in the '40s (AAFC, NFL, or both) and played in the AFL? The only one I could think of was wrong - Tobin Rote - rookie in '50. George Blanda comes to mind. He was a rookie for the Bears in 1949 and did just a few things i...
