Re: Top, and Worst, Ten teams of the 14-game era, '61-thru-'77?

The Dolphins won back-to-back championships in 1973, only the 75 Steelers were better. The 62 Packers were third for me ...

It's a toss-up on the 66 Giants and 76 Bucs ... a goose egg is the worst.

Great finish for the 76' Steelers before Oakland kicked their ass ... not Top 7. The Cowboys finish in 1971 deserves Top 10

Re: 1974 Dallas Cowboys

Tough year for them on both sides of the ball. Like John said, aging defense with the young depth taking time to adjust. The pass rush wasn't dominant once Andrie retired. Staubach had a rare, bad season, but its hard to win games when the wide receivers collectively only score eight TDs in a deadba...

Re: E.J. Holub

Holub was an outstanding linebacker on their first championship team in Dallas. Due to knee injuries and Stram wanting his toughness on offense, he switched over to center but competed against other outstanding centers for accolades. One of the toughest players in professional history undergoing at ...

Re: Worst RBs/WRs with a 1000 yard season?

Actually CS ... Jamaal Charles and Mercury Morris had high yards per carry, over 5.0 but low TD numbers. Morris should have had a much better career but got his hand caught in the cookie jar.

Re: Roger Craig

I feel Craig is deserving. A knee injury in his eighth season affected the rest of his career but he did everything, including catching and blocking. Good postseason numbers as well and could have easily been MVP of the 85' and 89' SB games except for guys named Joe and Jerry ...

Re: Worst RBs/WRs with a 1000 yard season?

Though he had two 1000 yard receiving seasons, Michael Crabtree was a major disappointment for his career, especially in SF ... He could have caught the winning TD pass in the SB against the Ravens but couldn't fight through his defender, trying to complain for the call. Stats werent bad, yet he nee...

Re: NFL MVP's who didn't deserve to win

Good argument for Moss in 2007 but Jerry Rice in 1987 has an even better argument, with 22 TDs in only 65 catches, and 12 games. He added another TD rushing ...

Re: NFL MVP's who didn't deserve to win

What's ur take on Bananas', 74_75_78_79?

Lost his desire? Not the same after injuries, or simply one of the first 90s players to check out after a big payday? Many free agents would follow the same example ...

Re: NFL MVP's who didn't deserve to win

Good discussion on 1992. I felt Sharpe in GB carried his team as much as Foster in Pitts. Smith and Young had great seasons as well but when a QB leads a team to 14 wins, he will usually get more attention ... Foster had that great season but after two more injury plagued seasons, was out of footbal...
