Re: Packers
Football is a team sport and an individual players talent(even a handful) have limited influence on a teams success. A good QB does not ensure postseason success and postseason success should not be the barometer on which QB's are judged. In terms of close games in the playoffs it might sound silly ...

Re: NEW USFL
Honestly really looking forward to it. I've always been fascinated with the old USFL. It's not going to as close to the NFL level as the old USFL was(especially with the XFL competing with it for even the NFL's scraps) but that doesn't mean it can't be fun.

Re: Stafford most underhonored player in NFL history?
Given the choice, I'd pick him over Rivers, Ryan, Dalton....to me, Stafford's seemed a bit on the higher end of the B-level tier. Dalton is the only one of those four I'd call a "B" quarterback. The rest are at least HOVG locks. By B-level I meant not as good as A-level Aaron Rodgers, Tom...

Re: Cecil Isbell for Canton?
He's a longevity case he didn't play that long even though he clearly played at a HOF level. Outside of the 20s I think he would be the HOF player with the fewest games. 65 is almost a hard quota. Battles played 60 games. While I argue for earlier eras with less games that unofficial quota is too st...

Re: Antonio Brown
With defenses being handcuffed and offenses getting more special treatment from officials and rule changes since what, 2013, how much weight goes into Brown's numbers anyway ? Is he really that much more skilled than the Stallworths or Wards of the past or just lucky enough to stay healthy long eno...

Re: Stafford most underhonored player in NFL history?
Bad game for Stafford but he pulled it out today. Rams are close to clinching the division. I wouldn't say the he pulled it out. More like Cooper Kupp and his team's "D" did. And in case you hadn't noticed, BAL isn't really very good. These last few weeks were bad for Stafford. However hi...

Re: Stafford most underhonored player in NFL history?
Isn’t it obvious that Stafford has thrown for a ton of yards because he was usually coming from behind with Detroit? Neither Stafford or Matt Ryan deserve a sniff of Canton at this point. Stafford has a chance to change things with a very good Rams team but he still throws too many panicky bonehead...

Re: Antonio Brown
They have no choice without damaging the HOF. He is clearly a HOF WR and he played just long enough for longevity to not be a valid excuse. Baseball really shows how one moral stance here and another moral stance there really adds up over the decades to the point where the institution becomes a laug...

Re: Stafford most underhonored player in NFL history?
Having tracked Stafford's performance closely every year he's been in the league, honestly, 2011 and this season are the only ones where I think he's done enough in comparison to other QBs in the same season to warrant Pro Bowl selection, especially given that he's rarely been on winning teams. He ...

Re: 2022 HoF Modern Era Finalists
I like Boldin too Zero26 but dont see him vaulting ahead of Hines Ward. Johnson like Smith, never had a great QB throwing him the ball but the voters might be inclined to decorate a Texan sooner than later but I feel receivers might wait on getting voted in, with so many other great players becomin...
