Re: What does an 18-game schedule look like?
That's close to how I envision it working out best, which is: · Six games within their own division (home-and-home); · Four games each against one NFC division and one AFC division; · One game each against teams in its conference’s other two divisions; and · One game each against teams in two divis...

Re: Mike Evans will probably never be first-team All-Pro
^John, thank you for sharing this info. It's helpful to at least have an idea of quantification beyond eras. It is also difficult to calculate in the change in rules on defense across eras, which I am guessing are not included above? Looks like Evans falls into the Top 25 when adjusting his numbers....

Re: Future Hall of Very Good players
^For the QBs I think part of their chances rests on how the committee views the inflated passing numbers in today's era. If they disregard them, it hurts all three. I don't know where to put Matt Ryan. IMO he certainly does not belong in the PFHOF. He was on the losing end of the two biggest blown l...

Re: Gary Myers comment that Eli a 1st ballot QB
It seems like nowadays that is the only way players get in the PFHOF.Ken Crippen wrote: ↑Fri Jun 07, 2024 10:38 amHe will do everything he can to make it happen for "his guy."JohnTurney wrote: ↑Thu Jun 06, 2024 9:09 pm
Interesting. Don't see that happening. But people do like "their guys".

Re: 2024 Hall of Very Good Nominations
"Regarding those already in a Hall of Fame: We'll also have to discuss whether Flutie or anyone else who is in the Canadian HOF is eligible (in Flutie's case, when his 25 years is up). I would think such a person is not eligible for the HOVG. As the (a) Hall of Fame is greater than the Hall of...
