Re: 1970s Controversial Plays
I did see the replay from NFL Films of the Archie Manning TD versus the Rams in 1971. A true judgment call if ever there was one. Judging by the three of four Ram players who were closest to the tackle and their vociferous protests, one tends to think that the refs blew it. Joe Zagorski Thanks for ...

Re: 1970s Controversial Plays
Archie Manning's first-ever regular-season game and victory was rather controversial. The game I'm referring to was a season-opening battle between the Rams and Saints at Tulane Stadium on 9/19/1971. The Saints were down 20-17 with three seconds left at the Rams' 1-yard line. Instead of going for th...

Re: 2016 PFRA Green Bay Meeting Logo
Very nicely done. My only suggestion would be to move the star more north towards Green Bay.

Re: Last HoF eligible years for some borderline worthies
What is the argument for keeping Roger Craig out of the Hall? I know his career numbers don't stack up high, but for awhile he was arguably the league's most versatile back. Wasn't he the first RB to have both 1,000 yards rushing and receiving in the same season? Also, IMO he was the MVP of the 49er...

Re: Ram's owner unveils L.A. Stadium design
I like the idea of L.A. being back in the league. But I don't like this stadium design. I think it should be an open-air facility with natural grass. This is Southern California and with the exception of a few games the weather was always perfect. I'd also like to see only one team move into the mar...

Re: "Ang" and the AFL
I appreciate that, and thank you. Yes, I'd like to send condolences to him. I'm glad that you reached out to Mr. Coniglio when you learned of his tragedy. The loss of one's son or daughter is especially painful, and the younger Ange put up a brave fight for decades after being injured. Ange Conigli...
