The games that stand out to me are 1981 and 1984. In 1984 the Cowboys had a great comeback to win 28-27. 1984 the Dolphins knocked the Cowboys out of the playoffs for the first time in 10 years. That game was great also.

Would not a pump fake qualify as "any intentional forward movement of his arm" and even if not how would the official determine whether something was a pump fake or a change of mind? I never like rules that involve mind reading. I think what annoys me about the conversation here though is ...

According to Wikipedia the Tuck Rule was only started in 1999 and was used against the Patriots earlier in the year. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tuck_Rule_Game

In a 1942 game vs. Washington the New York Giants didn't get a first down [at the time touchdowns didn't count as first downs] , only had one yard rushing, and only completed one pass but won 14-7. That one completion went for a Touchdown.

As a Washington fan I still wish Snyder had never fired Schottenheimer. Even if he went 14-2 and lost in the first round as in San Diego that is still preferable to what we got.
