Re: Duane Thomas question

When Lilly confronted Gil Brandt about it he told Lilly that those guys (Olsen and Deacon Jones) were teasing him about how much they made -- as in they were not getting what they said they were. Good stuff of Gil Brandt (of all people) calling Merlin Olsen a liar. Father Murphy would never lie! At...

I would have done a fake punt with Tom Tupa throwing a pass to Van Waiters for the game-clinching 42-yard TD.

Re: Trivia special team return TDs

Lemar Parrish in 1970 ... how is he not in the HOF? I think it would be interesting to find cases of "wrong teammate" in the PFHOF. Like how did Ken Riley get in before Parrish? I thought the same about Emmitt Thomas/Johnny Robinson but then Robinson got in recently. Other possible cases ...

Re: Trivia special team return TDs

its hard to find the kick six stats. I am just going through players that I remembered having returned a FG for a TD at some point. One oddity is Al Nelson, who returned two FGs for TDs. But I haven't found anyone else who meets the criteria other than Hester at this point.

But look what he did in those wins. A win over the Raiders where he went 7-17 with 3 pics. A win vs the Chiefs 8-20 with 3 pics. A win over Houston 9-19 70 yards. He threw for 200 yards once. The win in week 13 vs the Oilers he went 4-11 for 37 yards, got hurt and didn't finish. The last game he we...

Yes, this is setting up to be a dramatic ending. Who will be left off the list? Brad Van Pelt? Joe Morris? Joe Morrison? Fran Tarkenton?

Re: 1972: Steelers VS Redskins

Bradshaw was still pretty bad in 1973. Although his 49% completion percentage was the best of the three quarterbacks his 8.3% interception percentage was worse than Hanrattys bad 7.2%. His 13.3 YPC was good but the lowest of the three. And his 11.8% sack percentage trailed the other two by a mile, ...

Re: NFL Throwback YouTube channel ranks every Super Bowl winner, and loser in two seperate videos.

No, it's not. I am saying that both teams didn't really play anyone in the playoffs. That 84 Super Bowl had a Clash of the Titans buildup. It was viewed as a coin toss between Marino and Montana. The 89 Super Bowl was a joke. The Broncos had already been blown out twice in the Super Bowl, and here ...
