Home Field Advantage

I know that this forum is about pro football history, but I have a question about the current season (hope that no one minds). Dallas, Green Bay, Detroit, Arizona, and Seattle all have 11 and 4 records. Green Bay faces Detroit, but whoever wins that game, and the other 11 and 4 teams in the NFC win,...

Re: 1950's Detroit Lions

Actually, Bob Mann was traded to the New York Bulldogs/Yanks in 1950 as part of the Layne trade, if I am correct. Mann went to Green Bay in another trade. Re: 1950's Detroit Lions

Re: 1950's Detroit Lions

Bobby Layne could play drunk most of time and those Lions teams still probably would have won. Their defense was so great. They not only held other teams from scoring very much, but they had a ball hawking defense, getting many interceptions and the Lions were also good at forcing fumbles. They had ...

Saban » Fri Dec 05, 2014 1:42 am " It does seem like it, but I doubt that there were any gamblers or money involved. I think that it was just a matter of some players that weren't really sure whether they wanted to win that game or not. Not a lot of incentive for Detroit that day ." I dou...

Re: Chances the Raiders go 0-16

One indication of how bad the Raiders have been over the last decade, and especially in the last 3-4 years: 12/11/11: Trailed GB 31-0 at Lambeau. losing 46-16 12/29/13: Trailed Denver 31-0 at home, losing 34-14 Way back on 9/17/61, they trailed the Chargers 30-0 before losing 44-0. That was one wee...
