Re: Forget about SD, how bout 'RAIDERS vs Bears', 1963??
Curious how the Bears managed to lose to the 2-12 Niners that year. The Bears D was legit in 1963, I don't think Flores and Art Powell would be enough. The Raiders may have been on an 8 game run but their defense was playing frighteningly bad by the end of 63 Raiders just seemed like a fast and loos...

James Saxon
Cory Schlesinger...though he had some years where he got a good amount of rushing and receiving touches and other years where he barely touched the football.

Re: teams bitten by snakes
2002 Miami Dolphins. 9-5 with a division title in their grasp they go to Minnesota to play a bad Viking team...lead the game heading into the 4th but end up losing on a 53 yard field goal by 43 year old Gary Anderson...the last 50+ yarder he would ever kick. The ball seemed to maybe get 8 feet off t...

Re: Respective CC-losers we're most GLAD didn't play in a SB
(1985) Dolphins I flat out disliked as Jets fan and they had just played in a Super Bowl the year prior. The fact that they needed to come back from a 21-3 deficit at home against a mediocre 8-8 Browns team the week before was a pretty good indicator that they would have been dead meat against the ...

Re: Postseason matchups that you would have liked to have se
Jets/Redskins Super Bowl XVII. Dolphins were better than us that year but it would've been nice to see Riggins vs his old team. We would've been spared a 4/17 performance by Woodley and Strock. Miami's offense the entire game was basically 1 long pass to Jimmy Cefalo. That's it. Would've been nice ...

Had no interest in a Rams/Dolphins Super Bowl in 1986. Not that anybody was beating Chicago that year but to me the Rams were something of a bore with their anemic passing game...Dieter Brock was a competent game manager but just not exciting. Dolphins I flat out disliked as Jets fan and they had ju...

Re: QB Wins ¿Do they really mean anything?
They don't mean anything to me and frankly it should be an unofficial stat, much like goalie wins in hockey and pitcher victories in baseball. Do you really need to see Brady and Mannings W/L record to know of their greatness? It's a team game. You win and lose as a team. Archie Manning won 35 NFL g...

Re: Rams wore white horn helmets Thursday night
Never really loved the white and blue Rams look. Always though it perhaps had something to do with being in step with the L.A. Dodgers but for me the Rams should always be yellow and blue. To me it was as if they downgraded from color TV to black and white.

Re: Most famous fumble recoveries/returns in NFL history
It's overlooked because of The Catch, but what about Jim Stuckey recovery of a Danny White fumble after a sack by Lawrence PiIlers in 49er territory? If Dallas could have gotten a few yards, Rafael Septien would have tried a FG to win the 1981 NFC Conference Championship Game. The horse collar tack...
