Re: More fodder. . .

"Eliminating the pocket requirement might help quarterbacks avoid the types of hits that produce injuries." I don't think that's true. It seemed to me that they called intentional ground more last year than any time in the last decade or so (which means like once every two games, but still...

Stanley Morgan has to be one. Always followed the 20+ yard guys
Yep, 1978-81, exactly 10 years after Garrison did it.

One is Gary Garrison, 1968-71. And Buddy Dial (1960-63) just missed, averaging 19.6 one year and 19.8 another.

Paul Warfield would've qualified if he hadn't missed three games in 1970.

Re: Obscure trivia

Jim Taylor Yeah, I'm pretty sure he's in there. I was going to nominate himself a few posts back, but somehow I got it into my head that the number mentioned in the original question was FORTY rather than 20. I'm sure Taylor hit 20, and probably somebody else did before O.J. too. Sayers or Leroy Ke...

Re: Obscure trivia

I was the number one draft choice for the same team two years in a row. The first time I was drafted, I was a junior and not eligible. The next year that same team drafted me but I never wanted to play in the NFL and didn't. What's more amazing is this wasn't done by Daniel Snyder I won't give this...

Re: Obscure trivia

This QB played in 106 games over a 10-year career. Through his first 9 years, he compiled a winning record as a starting QB. In his final season, he doubled his career loss total to finish with a sub-.400 career winning percentage. Name the QB. How about a hint -- just a broad one -- about the era ...

Ooh, good one. He beat Snead to it by ten years or so. And oddly enough, they shared two of their three teams; both made it while with the Eagles and the Redskins.
