Re: 2024 NFL Predictions

Thompson has mobility and should have the element of surprise since there isnt alot of game tape for other teams to digest. The question is, does he have the accuracy and anticipation to hit the open receivers like Tua did? He cant look at the rush and has to trust his system. If not, Huntley will p...

Re: 1967 Blues for the Browns

For me, despite being rejected for conspiracy theories by the NFL, They Call It A Game is the best critical book of the league I have ever read ... Alot of the stuff in that book, still goes on today. Instead of direct pay-per-view games, the league parcels out games-packages to any network that wan...

Re: 1967 Blues for the Browns

You might have been aware of this Saban1 but the NFL secretly paid off Ninowski, similar to John Brodie, due to signing with the Raiders before the merger. Once the merger happened, all signings were declared void but with Ninowski and Brodie threatening anti-trust lawsuits, they got paid quite well...

Re: HOF prelim, 167 names

Good points ... but lets say half of his forced fumbles were recovered by the defense, thats still 60 forced turnovers. Riley and Lebeau werent near 9 TDs on defense as well. His tackle numbers were better than I thought, and unlike Riley and LeBeau, who played when defenses had more leverage, Tillm...

Re: HOF prelim, 167 names

For SeahawkFever ... the cutdown after Sept 30th will be 50. Then 25 in October, 15 in late December, then 10 and 7 in January. Can five being elected out of seven happen in late January? Clark Judge on TOFTWO believes so, especially if they clear the queue but I feel just four ... Time is running o...

Re: HOF prelim, 167 names

Tillman is extremely underrated, thats for sure. He tackled --unlike some HOF corners--forced turnovers and scored 9 defensive TDs. He played on very strong, opportunistic defenses that might have won a championship with the right QB. His accolades were low though, similar to another underrated play...

Re: HOF prelim, 167 names

In a normal election with five modern players, there was a tendency to clear the queue of waiting players, but with a top seven list, voters may tend to elect the most worthy, which can help a first ballot case like Kuechly--though Patrick Willis had to wait--but we will see. Like Willis, he only pl...

Re: HOF pelim, 167 names

Thanks John ...

Will look at players that were ommitted, not that it matters. This new voting process I feel, will help first ballot candidates like Kuechly. Will it help strong candidates like Evans, Yanda or Thomas however?

Re: 1991 Giants had Parcells and all staff had returned at least one more year?

In 1991, you have to wonder if Plan B free agency may have played a slight role in Parcells leaving the team? It had to have been on his mind as the Giants let players like Bavaro, Anderson and others unprotected for other teams to take a risk on. Thats what people dont realize ... SB MVP Ottis Ande...
