I just found this today, though photo confirmation concerning the exact color of the short-lived 1962 Broncos blue horse helmet logo was announced back in April (I seem to remember a thread about this in the old PFRA forum):

I thought the more recent scan of the '62 Patriots highlight film answered this question.

I wasn't aware of the film scan/screenshot. Until yesterday I had never seen any film or photo proof that confirmed the exact color of the logo. I'll have to go back and re-watch the '62 Patriots HL, though I don't remember seeing anything definitive the first time around.
