I think you (we) should choose one and stump for him by posting a mini-bio and reasons for him to get into the Hall.
I was very seriously considering nominating Peggy Parratt this year but maybe we should work off John's list (after all, it appears we already have him in our corner on those names).

Who would we consider most-electable of those named?
Sure, your strategy is definitely logical and I can start a few threads once we get down to finalists. But, since we usually have 2-3 of these players among the finalists every year, I think it would be a win if we could get 7-8 instead.

Most electable I think is Christensen. At a superficial level, if you put his postseason honors next to Danny Fortmann, I think it compares well. He's on the PFI list, some all-decade teams, etc.

I would say if you use a nomination on Parratt, that's great. My hope would be if anyone's planning to nominate and their 5 aren't decided, they'd take a look at this list.

I have nominated and/or voted for the above over the last several years. There are a few more names on your list I would consider. Thank you for putting it together.

Thanks Ken - appreciate your jumping in. It helps to know how folks rank some of these players, I'm happy to evolve the list over time as more people chime in or depending how the ballot turns out, for now I'll leave it chronological. Hopefully, this is a good time to start at least trying to get more of these players on the ballot every year.

Finally, I noticed strong support for Tommy Hughitt. Have you or @JeffreyMiller written anything about him? I'd definitely be interested - his case is similar to Sacksteder's to me - strong pre-NFL seasons should put them over, but the documentation of pre-NFL is scattered in a lot of different sources - also one of those cases where looking at mid-decade would help like '15 to '25.

I have written about teams Hughitt was on pre-1920, but I have not written a bio or covered his career. Jeff may have done that.

Thanks. Wikipedia doesn't say it, but I think Hughitt played on that really good '17 Detroit Heralds team. Unfortunately, some of what I knew about that team may have been written over when I had to remember my kids' bus schedules :)

I know he played at least one game for All-Buffalo in 1917. He also played two games for the Heralds. Beyond that, I do not know.

Thanks - maybe Detroit brought him in for the big games. They did that with Frank Nesser.
