Sorry, but they screwed the pooch

Not all, of course, but enough to criticize.

Slater was only guy from the 20s-40s

Sprinkle was well known over the post-1963 (when Hall was formed) he didn't
fall though the cracks. Carmichael got 2 votes for the 1970s All-Decade team

(granted Pearson got just 7) but 2? One more than John Anderson.

But truthfully, it's not our circus and these are not our monkeys.

If Goose means what he says --"all 20 are HOFers, it's a matter of when"

Then the 2-1-2-1-2-1-2 thing starts in 2021 so (I think we're on 2)
over next 3 years 5 of these guys should get in

And besides, seems rumors are true that this was all
a setup to get Tagliabue in without having to face the full
committee

They’re doing that again? I hadn’t heard about this. Why?

Who's Goose? Sorry if I'm being dense.

Think he meant Rick Gosselin.

If they are all getting in, then the only reason to not induct them all the same year is to avoid a 17-hour induction ceremony. If the plan is that all these candidates are getting in someday, then I think they should induct the still-living ones first so they can enjoy being HOF members for a while. This means a guy like Randy Gradishar should have been in before Duke Slater.

Cliff Branch, Otis Taylor and Del Shofner before Carmichael. Al Wistert before Winston Hill or Jim Covert.
Happy to see Steve Sabol, Duke Slater and Alex Karras. Donnie Shell was a no-brainer.
One guy from the 20s-30s era? Oh please ...
And Tagliabue? I'm not feeling it ....
