I think it starts around the 5 minute mark. Sounds like the Cowboys switched the positions on their defensive line.

Re: (More) Thoughts on Super Bowl V

I think there remains a "tribute" podcast to George Young on the New York Giants website that was done when he passed away. Young was the Colts offensive line coach in 1970 and Ernie Accorsi mentions the Cowboys shrewdly "inverted" their defensive line for SB V and there was very...

Re: 2023 Obituaries

Bill McGovern, who coached football his entire adult life after a standout career at Holy Cross College, passed away on May 30 at 60. He was a defensive coach for the Bears, Eagles, and Giants in pro football. https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/37761645/ucla-dc-bill-mcgovern-dies-cance...

Re: NFL Media Guides

Hi all: I am bumping this thread as it looks like some older media guides have been posted in recent weeks.

Re: Post-modern Oline/Dline Conversions

I want to say Tom Day started off at offensive guard for the 1963 Buffalo Bills but moved over to the defensive line?

Re: Super Bowl X Steelers should have Routed Cowboys

In Ray Gerela's defense I think he broke a couple of ribs tackling Thomas Henderson on the opening kickoff. It was a great game with a lot of Hall of Fame players and coaches.

Defensive Center position

I was reading through some material on the 1949 AAFC New York Yankees. The material identifies Harvey Johnson as their placekicker, but notes he was also 3rd string defensive center. As he weighed in the neighborhood of 210 pounds, I think we would call this position middle linebacker? Thank you ver...

Bob DeMarco

It seems to me center Bob DeMarco is being overlooked for the Hall of the Very Good. A career in pro football spanning from 1960 to 1975 is a lot. Am I off base here? I want to say DeMarco should get in before Jeff Van Note and Jon Morris?

Thank you.

Re: Who is your pick for 3rd-best Dallas Cowboys QB ever?

Craig Morton started playoff games in three different decades. Did he win a playoff game in three different decades? Did he ever throw for 300 yards in a playoff game? He had a wild career.

Re: Reverse on a kickoff return

I write to tip my hat to such fantastic research. Thank you for sharing. Before he went astray, number 56 was a player for the Dallas Cowboys.

Also, it did make for a great scene in Black Sunday.

Thank you,
Nick
