Re: Bills-Bengals game “no contest”

What about the people who attended the Monday night game? Do they get their money back? That's an interesting question. In American auto racing, if an event goes one lap beyond halfway, it is considered an event. If rain comes any time after that and the event can't continue as an example, there is...

Re: Bills-Bengals game “no contest”

I’m going to express an unpopular opinion about all of this: The rest of the Bills players were being selfish for not finishing that game. They made the incident about themselves by deciding it was too much for them to proceed. At that point, Hamlin didn’t care if they played or not but uncounted t...

Re: Raiders claims about the Immaculate Reception

I've seen the same old films everyone else has seen. The ball was shoe top level or maybe even lower when Harris grabbed it. It looks like a catch to me. The bottom line is that it was ruled a catch by the officials on site and it goes down that way in history. The matter of what player touched the ...

Re: Sprinters in the NFL

Does anybody remember a guy named Ray Norton? He played for the 49ers for a couple of years. Norton was once one of the fastest men in the world. He ran a 9.3 100 yards in the US Olympic trials and made the 1960 US Olympic team. He didn't medal and he didn't do much in the NFL but he was an Olympia...

Re: How would you rank odd / unusual seasons?

I suppose that you could point out something out of the ordinary in every season. This is an interesting exercise! The 1969 season was a little different. The Jets won the Super Bowl at the end of the 1968 season in January of 1969 and you wondered what was going to happen next. The Packers were no ...

With respect, I can't agree with you on the 67-68 Colts. They were 2-1-1 against the Rams those seasons, only made the playoffs once and never won the title.

Re: Archive of Announcers

Fun to see the old names. I remember listening to Bob Kelly, who called Rams games.

This is good research!
